Honda Z600! Awesome little things! The Honda N600 is just as small, and equally as cool too! :D

Have a chance to buy a running N600 with a relatively rust free body (needs paint and some finishing up). They are asking $3,800 Canadian. What are these things worth? Anyone have any ideas?

Yessss ughgh I love that car so much. I had the opportunity to buy one with the V6 for $700 with 200,000 miles!

But instead I bought a rusty first gen Civic:)

The guy is still selling the 780 though, and conceivably I could still swoop it up! I know you’re a Volvo guy, so maybe you can give me some advice.

OBVIOUSLY the 4 pot is way more desirable and reliable and amazing as a motor, and that PRV V6 takes a lot of shit around the volvo community. But the thing has very little rust, and it drives! I feel like for $700 bucks that's a good deal! What do you think? Would you swoop?

Hard to say. My family has never had a PRV V6 ourselves but I have personally heard a very wide range of opinions on them. Some had issues from the factory, although later examples had most of them sorted out by then. Still, the PRV’s don’t take well to poor maintenance from the stories I’ve heard (unlike the red-block fours), so if you’re thinking of a PRV engined car, make sure its service history is up to date otherwise it can be a major headache as the engine bay is tight for the V6. Other than that, some say the PRV is somewhat slow, but keep in mind that this is a car from the ‘80s that was meant to be luxurious, not fast. Also, if the car’s made it to 200k that either shows that it’s been taken care of or it’s nearing the end of its life, so be wary for signs such as major oil leaks and the such, as is true for all old used cars. At the end of they day, it’s really your call. 780's are rare in general and for $700 on a running model you’re definitely getting a steal. You could probably even scrap it and only lose a few hundred, and before then you have the privilege of driving in a rather rare Italian brick (and when/if you scrap it, make sure the remaining parts go to a good home, as 780 body/lighting panels are getting excruciatingly rare). So yeah, go in with an open mind since it’s definitely a lot of Swedish/Italian metal for your money, just be ready to run if necessary ;)

I would say that’s actually quite a nice price! :) Worth more than that I think....a Z600 like in the OP’s original post is supposedly worth $7000 according to Hagerty’s Value Tool....so the N600 should be at least a fair bit higher than $3800 in good nick!
